Magnitude 3.0 quake rattles Baguio City

(Updated) MANILA, Philippines -Two earthquakes rattled Baguio City residents early Tuesday, data from the state seismic bureau showed.

The first quake was a magnitude 3.0 tremor that hit east of Baguio City at around 12:06 am and was felt at Intensity I.

Data from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) showed that under Intensity I, residents in Baguio felt a slight disturbance in their households and experienced a mild shaking.

Then at around 3:04 am the second earthquake, a stronger magnitude 3.4 tremor, hit west of Baguio City. Intensity II was felt all over the summer capital.

No aftershocks or damage to property are expected by Phivolcs based on their earthquake bulletin.
