MANILA, Philippines -- A suspect in the daring daylight robbery at the Robinsons Galleria mall last March 29 was arrested by police in Iloilo City Monday night, police said.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz, spokesman of the Philippine National Police, said Willy Enriquez, who was arrested by Iloilo and Quezon City policemen around 8 p.m., is also facing other charges, including cases of robbery in band and illegal firearms possession for which warrants of arrest have been issued by courts in Pasay and Paranaque cities.
A .45 caliber pistol was seized from Enriquez.
A companion, Erenio dela Cruz, was also arrested for illegal possession of firearms
A security guard died in the Robinsons robbery and six other persons were wounded.
