MANILA, Philippines – A man was shot dead in cold blood in front of onlookers by assailants riding in tandem in two motorcycles on a busy street in Pasay City Monday night. The crime was caught on CCTV.

The CCTV camera in Barangay Tramo, Pasay City, captured the killing of the victim identified as Gilbert James Pardo as he was gunned down at first by two men riding on a motorcycle.

The video showed Pardo writhing in pain on the ground and seemingly begging for help. Instead of rushing to his aid, onlookers scampered.

Moments later, two assailants also riding in tandem on a motorcycle arrived at the scene.

The four gunmen pumped bullets into the head of Pardo and one of them even pointed his gun at someone in the crowd as if to scare the onlooker.

After peppering Pardo’s head and body with nine bullets, the criminals casually left the scene.

Authorities strongly believe that the killing is drug-related since everyone who witnessed the shooting, including the victim’s family, was too scared to testify.

Chief Inspector Joey Goforth of the Pasay police said the number of assailants and the manner of execution was almost the same.

Sana may makapagbigay ng statement o kahit anong nalalaman nila dahil ako ay naniniwalang kilala nila ang pumatay sa kanilang kapatid (I hope somebody will give a statement or any information since I believe they know who killed their brother),” said Goforth.
