A Tawi-Tawi bound Air Philippines plane caught fire at the Zamboanga International Airport early Monday morning, a report from the Philippine Air Force showed.
The aircraft's right engine suddenly burst into flames at around 7 a.m., a statement from PAF said. No passengers were reported hurt in the incident.
The PAF's 3rd Air Division, headed by its Commander Maj. General Jose Tony Villarete AFP quickly responded to the fire and put the situation under control, PAF said.
