MANILA, Philippines - The P9-million Bonifacio Ridge condominium unit purchased by Cristina Corona was declared only in Chief Justice Renato Corona's Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) in 2010, or five years after its purchase.
This was revealed by the defense panel on Monday as it presented to the Senate impeachment court its witness Noel Kintanar, the representative of the Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC), which facilitated the sale of the condo unit to Cristina.
The property at Unit 1902 was purchased by the Chief Justice's wife for P9,159,940 in 2005. A conditional turnover was made in 2006 but defects were noted in the unit by the Coronas as evidenced by an existing "punch list" given to the developer.
"As pointed out by Cristina Corona in the punch list, these items wereaddressed by FBDC based on…repairs made over a period of time," Kintanar told the court.
