MANILA -- Residents of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will experience rains due to prevailing weather systems in the area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said a low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 540 kilometers west of Metro Manila. An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is also affecting Palawan and Mindanao.
The western sections of Luzon and Mindanao, including Metro Manila, will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Pagasa said coastal waters throughout the country will be slight to moderate.
