MANILA, Philippines - Local Government Units (LGU) topped the list of goverment agencies with the most number of graft and corruption-related cases filed before the Office of the Ombudsman last year.
A report from the OMB's Finance and Management Information Office showed that a total of 3,852 cases were filed by LGUs before the Office. This was followed by the Phillippine National Police with 1,128 cases, and the Department of Education with 562 cases.
Other agencies on the list that filed cases before the OMB are as follows:

The OMB said 14 agencies that only filed one case each last year are as follows:

Meanwhile, there were only two cases filed against officials of the Dept. of Tourism, Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, National Statistics Office, Phil. Veterans Affairs Office, and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
Three cases were filed against officials of the Metro Iloilo Water District, while four cases were filed against officials of the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, Land Bank of the Phils, National Food Authority, National Police Commission, and the Phil. Coconut Authority
Agencies that filed five cases were the Airport Police, Civil Service Commission, Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board, and Prison Guards.
