MANILA, Philippines -- Chief Justice Renato Corona on Tuesday said he only had four, and not 82, dollar accounts.
Corona used the same PowerPoint presentation used by Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales when she testified on his alleged dollar accounts to refute her claims.
He said of the accounts had already been closed and the money transferred to other accounts as of December 11, 2011, the day he was impeached by the House of Representatives.
When she testified, Carpio-Morales said her statements were based her information on a report from the Anti-Money Laundering Council.
But Corona said: "A careful analysis of the AMLC report will show that many of the accounts are already closed and the funds transferred to settlements."
