4 hurt in Maguidanao bomb blast

MANILA, Philippines - Explosion rocked the house of a former village official in Maguindanao hurting four people, police said.

Based on initial reports, unidentified suspects lobbed a bomb at the roof of the home of Salik Mlah in Barangay Labu Labu Mother, Sharrif Aguak at about 6:30 p.m., Thursday. 

Mlah is a former kagawad of Barangay Tuayan in Datu Hoffer. 

The subsequent explosion injured Salapia Mlah and her three children, who were all brought to the Maguindanao Hospital and later transferred to Cotabato City.

Police are still investigating the incident.
