MANILA, Philippines - T3, the public affairs show hosted by the Tulfo brothers Erwin, Raffy, and Ben, will return on TV this Monday, June 25. The show is back on air by virtue of a temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Court of Appeals last Wednesday, June 20.

With the show’s return, the Tulfo brothers will again be able to bring their distinct brand of public service, said TV5 management.

The Court of Appeals granted TV5’s petition for the issuance of a TRO enjoining the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) from further implementing its decision dated May 30, 2012, suspending the program for three months.

The MTRCB issued the order in the course of investigating the alleged issuance of on-air threats against actor Raymart Santiago by the Tulfo siblings a day after their eldest brother Mon Tulfo, broadcast and print journalist, was beaten up by Raymart along with his wife Claudine Barreto, and several companions at the airport for Mon’s refusal to turn over his mobile phone to Santiago. Tulfo had used the phone to document Claudine’s tirade against Cebu Pacific ground crew over the offloading of her luggage.

The network issued a 3-day suspension order on the three younger Tulfos a day after that T3 show, after an internal investigation.

MTRCB, however, still issued a 90-day suspension order on the show, prompting TV5 to go to court, invoking the constitutional provision against prior restraint on news and public-affairs shows.
