To keep atomic clocks in line with the Earth, June 30 will get an extra second tacked on at the end of the day, according to tech website CNet.
According to CNet's Amanda Kooser, the extra second is part of a concerted effort of international "time lords...to keep our extremely accurate atomic clocks in line with the more arbitrary nature of the way the world wobbles."
