LOS ANGELES - Ten-year-old Filipina Dominique Dy, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, has been selected to be in the Top 20 YouTube Video finalists for NBC’s hit TV show, America’s Got Talent (AGT).
The producers of AGT chose Dy's rendition of a vocal performance with piano accompaniment of Lady Gaga’s Edge of Glory to be in the top 20 video acts.
One winner out of the 20 acts will have the opportunity to perform on the live show in August, 2012. The voting period is from June 25, 2012 to July 7, 2012.
People can cast their votes every day during that period. Voting can be done on the AGT Channel on YouTube’s site at www.youtube.com/agt. Android and Apple mobile device users can also cast their votes by downloading the AGT Auditions application software for free through the designated app store.
Dominique Dy is entering the 6th grade at Merroll Hyde Magnet School. She has been performing since the age of 7. In 2009, she performed with the Nashville Opera in two productions. Dy continues to perform at many local events.
