MANILA.Philippines - The low pressure area or developing storm that dumped heavy rains all over Luzon has now exited the Philippine area of responsibility, the state weather bureau said.
But with the LPA's exit, it left the southwest monsoon or habagat more intensified and this threatens to bring scattered to widespread rains in the western side of the country.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administrtation (Pagasa), the country will continue experiencing better weather this weekend.
Moderate to heavy rains in eastern Visayas are localized, as isolated thunderstorms are common at this time.
Pagasa, meanwhile, lifted the thunderstorm warning in Metro Manila. Despite this, La Mesa Dam in Quezon City retains its level at 79.87 meters as of late Wednesday evening and the red alert on floods due to dam overflow remains hoisted.
