President Benigno Aquino III has appointed three new officials of the Department of Transportation and Communication, including a former consultant of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Jaime Raphael Feliciano, who was director for legal service and concurrent director for infrastructure projects, has been appointed assistant secretary, replacing George Esguerra.
Feliciano was a former senior associate of the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayos & de los Angeles law firm.
Aquino also appointed Ronaldo Franco Corpuz and Al Parreno as members of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
Corpuz replaced Samuel Julius Garcia while Parreno replaced Manuel Iway. Corpuz used to served as director of the project development service of the Private-Public Partnership Service and assistant director of the infrastructure staff of the National Economic Development Authority.
Parreno was a former consultant of the Asia Foundation and the USAID for human rights and law.
Prior to his appointment, Parreno was the supervising lawyer of the Office of Legal Aid of the University of the Philippines College of Law.
