MANILA, Philippines – MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino has announced the alternate routes to be used for public utility drivers and motorists when President Benigno Benigno Aquino III delivers his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 23.
Tolentino, however, declined to disclose the exact time of the implementation of the re-routing. "I have to meet first with the officials of Quezon City, especially the head of the police to discuss the matter," Tolentino said in an interview.
Following are the alternate routes:
FOR PRIVATE VEHICLES:
From Commonwealth - Fairview
Right turn to Regalado
Right turn to Dahlia
Left turn to Chestnut
Right turn to Old Sauyo Road
Left turn to Mindanao Avenue
Right turn to EDSA
From EDSA - Congressional
Right turn to Congressional
Left turn to Mindanao Avenue
Right turn to Old Sauyo Road
Left turn to Chestnut
Right turn to Dahlia
Left turn to Regalado
Left turn / right turn to Commonwealth
PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES
Along Commonwealth Avenue counter flow traffic at least four (4) lanes per direction will be implemented starting from Superstar KTV u-turn slot up to San Simon u-turn slot.
