The University of the Philippines College of Law is inviting the public to a forum entitled "The Rise of China and the US Asia Pivot: Implications for the Philippines, ASEAN, and the West Philippines Sea Dispute" on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Malcolm Theater.
As its official media partner, InterAksyon.com will cover the discussion as part of its Online Onsite event at UP Diliman on the same day.

Dr. Huang Jing of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore will be speaking at the forum. He heads the Center on Asia and Globalisation (CAG) at the same school.
CAG research fellow Chen Huaiyuan will also be speaking. He is an expert on China, specializing in culture, soft-power, international conflict resolution, and confidence-building measures through cultural exchanges.
Senator Francis Escudero, who is a member of the Senate Committees on Foreign Relations, and National Defense and Security, is the lead convenor of the forum.
Energy and economic think-tank Asia Pacific Basin for Energy Strategies, Inc. is the sponsor of the event.
