MANILA, Philippines - The Laguna police have identified three suspects in the shooting and robbery of former journalist and Philippine Tourism Authority chief Nixon Kua last Saturday.
Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr. on Monday said that according to a report from the Laguna police, Kua's relatives including the victim's daughter Sue Anne, identified the assailants as John Rey Cortez, Darwin Samiano, and Noel Garcia.
Kua was at the home of his brother Allyxon last Saturday in Ayala Greenfield, Calamba City when they were attacked by armed men, who took P90,000 cash from Nixon's daughter.
Nixon, who was injured in the attack, remains confined at the hospital.
Authorities are offering a P100,000-reward for the arrest of Kua's attackers.
