MANILA, Philippines - The Judicial and Bar Council will utilize social networking sites to let the public participate in the selection process for the next Chief Justice of the Republic of the Philippines.
The JBC has created Facebook and Twitter accounts where the public can post questions for the 22 candidates vying for the chief magistrate post.
According to the Supreme Court Public Information Office, the Facebook and Twitter accounts will be operational during the selection process. The public can post on the accounts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from July 24 to 27, 2012.
The JBC Facebook account is “Judicialandbarcouncil Supremecourt,” while the council's Twitter account is “@SupremeCourtJBC.”
The guidelines for the usage of the social networking accounts will also be posted online by the JBC. - with Romsanne Ortiguero
