MANILA, Philippines -- Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada on Monday thanked President Benigno Aquino III for confirming in his third State of the Nation Address that he would seek a higher budget for state universities and colleges.
Estrada said the P16 billion, or 43.61 percent, increase in the SUCs’ budget and the P115.7 added allocation for elementary and high schools was “a very good investment … not just for today’s youth but for future generations.”
