Residents along the entire stretch of Tullahan River in Quezon City were ordered evacuated by Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista Sunday night.
This after the La Mesa Dam reached near-spilling levels due to continuous rains from storm "Gener."
Schools near the area were being prepared as possible evacuation sites.
Meanwhile, residents of Baseco Compound, also in Quezon City, were evacuated past midnight Monday, a report from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office showed.
The forced evacuation started at 12:20 a.m., according to Office of Civil Defense chief Benito Ramos.
The exact number of evacuees, however, remain unclear as of posting.
At the same time, PAGASA has raised the green warning signal over Metro Manila as "intense" rains were monitored and were likely to continue over the next few hours.
PAGASA said 16.5 mm of rainfall was recorded over at Port area in Manila. This is most likely to continue over the next three hours.
