Yo, Dawg!

Entertainment portal TMZ.com is reporting that rapper Snoop Dog – or we really should start saying "reggae artist Snoop Lion" – is interested in becoming a judge on "American Idol".

Snoop reportedly said in an interview this week that, "I'll do 'American Idol'"

The slowing but still highly rated singing competition has lost two of its three judges from the last two seasons. Jennifer Lopez's spot on the panel will soon be taken by Mariah Carey, who was reportedly roped in by an $18 million contract for her first year on the show. Steven Tyler has expressed an eagerness to return to Aerosmith full time, and his place in the judges’ table has yet to be filled.

"Idol" producers have yet to comment on Snoop Lion's reported shout out.
