MANILA, Philippines - At 10 p.m. on Sunday, PAGASA raised its alert level in Metro Manila to "green" as "heavy to intense" rains were recorded in Manila over a one hour period.
This is equivalent to rainfall amount of between 7.5 to 30mm.
Occasional moderate to heavy rainfall was expected to continue over Metro Manila over the rest of the evening.
Authorities were continuously monitoring dams across the country as several had already reached near-spilling levels, posing risks of flooding.
As of 11 p.m., water levels at La Mesa Dam had already reached 80.12 meters, near the spilling level of 80.15 meters
Residents living near the Tullahan River were alerted to the possibility of flooding.
By 10 p.m., two gates had been opened at Binga Dam, where water levels reached 574.48 meters.
San Roque Dam also opened two of its gates as water levels reached 283.76 meters.
