MANILA, Philippines- A caucasian sheperd dog found temporary refuge at the office of InterAksyon on Tuesday as the flood waters and incessant rains made his trip back home more treacherous.
'Hitler,' the two-year-old shepherd dog, made an early morning appearance in TV5's show, Good Morning Club, to demonstrate the safety wear for pets during rainy season. But as the non-stop rains caused massive flooding around Novaliches, his owner decided to wait it out at the InterAksyon office, where the space is relatively cozier and dry.
Hitler was supposed to go home at Project 7 but the roads on the way there have become impassable to the van that was used to fetch him. After two hours, his caretakers said Hitler was already becoming restless and hungry and they guarded the dog from the TV5 staff, who curiously took pictures of him.
Eventually, when the rains eased a bit, food was brought to Hitler and he became less stressed. As of 2 pm, Hitler was still lounging around the TV5 compound.
