The MMDA is constantly updating the traffic situation along major roads via InterAksyon.com's Traffic Navigator. Click and save this link for real-time monitoring of flood and traffic situations along Metro Manila's major thoroughfares.

Continuous rains have flooded many parts of the metropolis and nearby provinces, prompting the evacuation and rescue of stranded residents. Rising waters and persistent floods have also caused many roadways to become inaccessible and impassable.

Here are some of the latest information we've gathered regarding closed and impassable roads. We will update the list as we get confirmation. Please check back often.

Flood Alert in SLEX, Osmena Hi-way

Just before 7pm, the MMDA issued a “Flood Alert: South Super Hi-way Buendia and Osmena Hi-way in Makati, both directions, [have floods] above knee.” It said these are not passable to light vehicles.

It also gave these updates on the following areas as of 5:54 pm:

East Ave Kalayan towards Circle Eliptical Westbound: half knee.

Commonwealth Feria: Not passable to light vehicles.

Tomas Morato. Sct. Ybardolaza: Not passable to light vehicles.

Mother Ignacia/ Sct. Tuazon: Not passable to all types of vehicles.

Bay Breeze Taguig: waist deep

C6: Not passable to all types of vehicles.

E Service Rd. Crossing: Not passable to light vehicles.

The MMDA earlier  said on Wednesday that many roads remain impassable due to continuous rains in the metropolis.

In its Facebook account, MMDA listed the flooded areas as of 2:00 p.m. Wednesday:

Color coding lifted Wed. afternoon, also Thursday

As heavy rains resumed falling Wednesday afternoon, Makati City lifted color coding at 3:08 p.m. The Metro Manila Development Authority suspended color coding at the height of the floods.

On Wednesday night, the MMDA and the Makati city government both announced the lifting of the number coding rule as well on Thursday, August 9.

Other flooded areas that are not passable in the metropolis include:

* As of 5:00 p.m., Katipunan Balara waist deep. Not passable to all types of vehicles.

* As of 3:20 p.m., South Superhighway going to Edsa not passable

* As of 3:14 p.m., all areas in Bgy. San Isidro, Makati City not passable

* As of 3:10 p.m., Quezon Avenue-Banawe, not passable to light vehicles

* As of 3:00 p.m., Ortigas Extension towards Junction, not passable to light vehicles

* As of 2:25 p.m., Nagtahan flyover northbound towards Lacson closed to traffic due to flooding

* As of 12:30 p.m., all roads in Marikina passable except Gil Fernando Avenue, according to Marikina PIO.
