 The MMDA continues to update the traffic situation along major roads via InterAksyon.com's Traffic Navigator. Click and save this link for real-time monitoring of flood and traffic situations along Metro Manila's major thoroughfares.

(UPDATE 6 - 9:40 p.m.) Despite improving weather, floods persist in many parts of Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, prompting some schools and local government units to maintain a suspension of classes in their respective jurisdictions. Schools are also canceling classes to prioritize relief efforts.

Here is a list of LGUs and schools that have announced suspension of classes through to Friday, August 10.

  • Centro Escolar University
  • Claret School, all levels  
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran, classes as well as work (classes resume Monday, Aug. 13) 
  • De La Salle in Taft, Makati, and Ortigas (classes resume Monday, Aug. 13)
  • Far Eastern University (Manila, East Asia College, Makati, Cavite, and Diliman campuses)
  • Malabon City University
  • Malabon Polytechnic Institute
  • Miriam College 
  • Paco Catholic School
  • Philippine Normal University in Manila, all levels   
  • San Beda College of Arts and Sciences (classes to resume Monday, Aug. 13)
  • St. Paul College, Pasig
  • University of the East, all levels (Manila and Caloocan campuses)
  • University of Sto. Tomas, all levels (classes to resume Monday, Aug. 13)
  • UP Integrated School (classes to resume Monday, Aug. 13)
  • Xavuer School in San Juan, all levels
