For four days, the nation kept vigil and prayed for the safety of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo. When news broke on Tuesday morning that his body had been recovered, devastated Filipinos took to social media to give voice to their grief, thanks, and love for "a good man."

People posted condolences, prayers, and then their own memories and mementos of Robredo, calling him an inspiration for all local governments, and inspiration for all that national leadership could be.
