MANILA, Philippines - The bicameral Commission on Appointment (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the ad interim appointment of Ramon R. Jimenez Jr. as Secretary of Department of Tourism (DOT), and the re-appointment of Aurora Santiago Lagman as Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) member representing the private sector.
Both were confirmed without oppostion.
In Lagman’s case, House Majority Leader Rep. Rodolfo Antonino only reminded her to always be mindful of her and the JBC’s role in the check and balance among the three branches of government, particularly as the 1987 Constitution created the JBC.
