MANILA, Philippines -- The Metro Rail Transit temporarily partially suspended service early Saturday morning when an engine bogged down, although operations resumed at around 10 a.m.
A defective engine stalled coaches between the MRT’s Magallanes station in Makati City and the Taft Avenue station in Pasay City.
The problem forced the MRT to limit operations between its North Avenue station in Quezon City and Shaw Boulevard Station in Mandaluyong City, causing a build up of passengers.
