MANILA, Philippines -- Princess Jacel Kiram, the daughter of Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III, flew to Tawi-Tawi early Thursday for a "humanitarian mission" amid the continuing violence in Sabah.

The sultan's daughter was accompanied by with TV5 host Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, the wife of action star Robin Padilla.

The two left before dawn on a private plane.

No further details were available.

Security has been tightened at the sultan's house after three NBI agents posing as members of a television crew gained entry Wednesday in an apparent mission to gather information.
