(Update 2--4:15 p.m.) Firefighting units from all over Metro Manila are taking some time to put off a conflagration that has gutted another mall in Divisoria, Manila Wednesday night.

However, their combined efforts have resulted in the rescue of two persons trapped inside the commercial building at the capital city's bargain center.

Teodorico Enriquez and Franklin Peralta were trapped but safely rescued by the firefighters hours after the fire broke out. Enriquez was the security guard on duty at the time broke out while Peralta is a staY-in utility worker of the commercial arcade

Manila City-based Bureau of Fire has yet to determine the cause of the fire, which is already at Task Force Charlie as of this posting, and continues to eat up the five storey arcade located at the corner of Tabora and Juan Luna Streets.

Manila firefighters however said that they have already the blaze under control although it may still require them 24 more hours to totally put it off. No estimate of damages has yet been made.
