MANILA, Philippines - TV5's correspondent Michelle Mediana was looking for top stories in Taiwan, when she unwittingly became the headline in several Taiwanese websites and blogs for her refreshing looks.

Interviewed on TV5's Good Morning Club Thursday morning, the young journalist dubbed "the Philippines conspiracy" said she was simply doing her job. Without intending to, she was also able to disarm the Taiwanese

Mediana told GMC host Paolo Bediones that for the record, “pinadala tayo dito para i-cover lang ang nangyari [we were sent here simply to cover what happened]. The label given her by one Taiwanese website, "the Philippines conspiracy," alluded to Taiwanese tongue-in-cheek suggestions that she was there to distract them from the ongoing investigations into the May 9 killing of a Taiwanese fisherman off the coast of Batanes by the Coast Guard.

Here’s Michelle, the reporter turned accidental newsmaker:

Meanwhile, a Twitter follower posted a photo of Michelle Mediana which was taken while she was being interviewed on Taiwanese television.
