MVP group mobilizes to assist in Typhoon Maring relief efforts

Companies controlled, managed, and/or affiliated with businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan will provide assistance to victims of typhoon Maring. 

Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI), which distributes water in Metro Manila’s West Zone, has agreed to deliver water to relief centers.

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT), the country’s largest and leading telecommunications company, has agreed to donate cash as with the Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC). 

Smart Communications Inc., PLDT’s mobile unit, is providing relief help.

All companies subsumed under the Pangilinan group have taken part in a conference call to coordinate their disaster relief efforts. 

For its part, the Philippine Business for Social Progress is putting together relief packages to be distributed to the typhoon’s victims. is the news portal of TV5, which is chaired by Manuel V. Pangilinan.
