DAVAO CITY - Four barangays in Zamboanga City are still under the control of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) after the group attacked the area early this morning.

Authorities said members of the MNLF entered the city via Barangay Mariki and proceeded to take over Barangays Sta. Barbara, Sta. Catalina and Rio Hondo.

MNLF men were also seen in Barangay Talon-talon.

Eighty-five civilians are now being held hostage by the MNLF, complicating the entry of government forces in the said barangays.
