MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III has received a record-high satisfaction rating, based on the latest survey conducted in June by the private polling firm Social Weather Stations.

According to the SWS, 75 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with Aquino’s performance, 16 percent were ambivalent while only 9 percent were dissatisfied.

The satisfaction rating was higher by 13 percent from what he got for the past three months.

The administration posted high scores in 14 basic services, among them, providing basic elementary and high school education (+58) and helping the poor (+57).

But his rating plunged in the fields of eradication of graft and corruption (+18 from +19) and reconciliation with Muslim rebels (+28 from +31) and communist insurgents (+24 from +28).

The Palace said it was elated with the results of the latest SWS survey and will continue to exert efforts to resolve problems facing the country.
