#OblationRun2013 | Students, visitors go bird-watching in UP Diliman, Los Banos, Manila, Clark
The online news portal of TV5

It's the most wonderful time of the year again, for bird-watchers at least.

Students, faculty members, and visitors alike scrambled for the best seats in the house as members of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) Fraternity raced around four campuses of the University of the Philippines Thursday and Friday during the much-anticipated Oblation Run.

The tradition has the APO brothers streaking around school, with only their faces covered. They are usually armed with roses and placards, the first for girls who catch their attention, the second to call everyone else's attention to pressing issues.

For example, the Oblation Run in UP Manila was a shoutout for "funding and support for the rehabilitation of the UP School of Health Sciences in Palo, Leyte," according to the former's official Twitter page, @UPManilaOnline.

The Oblation Run in UP Diliman rallied for better disaster risk reduction and management.
