MANILA – A black car driven by a call center agent fell to the ground from the fifth level of a parking building on Felix Huertas Street in Manila close to midnight Friday, resulting in the young woman’s death.

The victim, identified in a radio report as Marie Calderon, an employee at Vertex 1 call center which was said to be leasing space at the parking building, suffered serious head and body injuries after her black Suzuki Swift fell from the fifth level for still undetermined reasons. It was badly crumpled as it fell right in front of a fast food outlet.

There were conflicting reports on whether a child on the ground was hurt, but no confirmation of such at press time.

It took rescuers – using a spreader cutter – an hour to extricate her from the car, as she was pinned beneath the crumpled metal.

She died at the Dr. Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Manila. – With a report from Hannibal Talete, News5
