8 Central Luzon fugitives fall

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police authorities in Central Luzon captured Wednesday eight wanted persons in a series of manhunt operations against lawless elements with standing warrants of arrest in different courts in the region, a top official of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) announced Thursday.

Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, director Central Luzon PNP, earlier ordered all police units in the region to intensify the manhunt for wanted persons.

Corpus identified the fugitives, who have since been detained, as Ronnie Rueda, of Barangay Lambakin, San Miguel, Bulacan; Antonio Legaspi, of Bgy. Lawa, Obando, Bulacan; Joshua Agao, alias Jokjok, of Bgy. San Pedro, City of San Jose del Monte also in Bulacan.

Others arrested were Robertson Labitan Merino, 35, of Bgy. Karuhatan, Valenzuela City; Reynaldo Espiritu Orpilla, 53, of Bgy. San Isidro, Lupao, Nueva Ecija; Daimller Rober Mendoza, 34, of Bggy. Sto. Nino, City of San Jose del Monte in Bulacan; Eliseo Nicolas, alias Ely, 72, of Bgy. Taal, Bocaue, Bulacan and Donato Dalmacio, 31, of Bgy. Lawang Pare, City of San Jose del Monte.

Corpus said all of the wanted persons have standing cases ranging from murder, rape, violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, grave threat, and serious physical injuries.

He said the apprehending teams were armed with warrants of arrest issued by various courts in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.

Those with murder, rape and illegal drugs cases were not allowed to post bail, said Corpuz.

The fugitives were brought to different police stations for processing before they will be turned over to the courts.
