MANILA, Philippines — Two leaders of Association of Southeast Asian Nations member-stats arived one after the other at Clark International Airport Saturday afternoon, November 11, ahead of the regional bloc’s summit.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen was the first ASEAN head of state to arrive, his plane landing at Clark at 1:26 p.m.

Myanmar State Counselor and Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi arrived about an hour later.

They were welcomed by, among others, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is now representative of Pampanga’s second district.

Arroyo will reportedly be hosting dinner for the two heads of states at Clark.
