In its application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN), Digital Telecommunications Philippines Inc. told the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that it aims to establish a total of five interconnection links with Globe Telecom Inc., 14 with Innove Communications Inc., and seven with Smart Communications Inc. by 2014.

Digitel also aims to establish 27 interconnection links with parent firm Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. in two years from the eight envisioned this year.
