MANILA, Philippines - Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp. on Monday said its subsidiary completed three shipments of copper concentrates to China last month.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Atlas said wholly owned Carmen Copper Corp. made three shipments totaling 14,824 dry metric tons.
The shipments – which were consigned to Chinese smelters – were valued a combined $34.66 million based on the provisional prices of $3.79 per pound of copper and $1,648 per ounce of gold.
The shipped concentrates averaged 27.32 percent copper, 3.01 grams per ton gold, and 21.30 grams per ton silver, Atlas said.
“The payable metal content of the concentrate was 8,584,000 pounds copper and 11,307 ounces of gold,” the company said.
The total mill throughput for April amounted to 1,228,000 metric tons ore at average grade of 0.35 percent copper – resulting in the production of 13,3137 dry metric tons of copper concentrate with an average grade of 27.34 percent copper, 2.80 grams per tons of gold and 20.11 grams per ton of silver.
