MANILA – State-run Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. has advised depositors of shuttered Rural Bank of Gigaquit (Surigao del Norte) Inc. who have yet to file their deposit insurance claims to mail the same to the state deposit insurer.

PDIC said it started last month mailing notices of payment to depositors who have filed earlier, with valid accounts with balances of P10,000 and below, and who have no outstanding obligations with the bank.

The insurer’s Claims Processing Department is located on the 4th floor, SSS Buildings, Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino St., Makati City.  Upon processing, PDIC will send notices of payment or document deficiency to said depositors through registered mail. Depositors are advised to accomplish the following:

  • Claim Forms,
  • Claim Status Sheets,
  • Original and photocopy of evidence of deposit such as Savings Passbook and Certificate of Time Deposit, and
  • Photocopy of two (2) valid IDs with depositor’s signature

The required forms may be downloaded from the PDIC website, www.pdic.gov.ph
