MANILA - Globe Telecom said it has deployed additional Libreng Tawag services in Quezon City and Pasay City.
In a statement, the Ayala-led telco said it put up the additional service points in Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City, and at the Victory Liner bus station in Pasay City.
These add to existing services at the Concepcion Integrated School in Marikina City, and at the Victory Liner bus station in Cubao.
“The Globe network in areas affected by the incessant rains remains generally normal, save for isolated reports of intermittent service due to floodwaters and the loss of commercial power. As expected, flood-inundated telecommunications equipment will suffer some damage, though so far, this has remained isolated, on the back of the increased network redundancies that had been put into place,” said Yolly Crisanto, head of corporate communications of Globe.
“We will continue to be on alert to ensure delivery of public telecommunication services at minimal disruption. Globe remains committed to its customers in providing quality telecommunication services,” she added.
