MANILA - Clark International Airport  Corp. on Wednesday said it is ready 24/7 to accommodate flights diverted from Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

“The airport is always ready and our navigational systems are working round the clock,” Victor Jose I. Luciano, CIAC president and chief executive said.

On Tuesday seven domestic flights of Airphil Express were diverted to the Clark International Airport due to air traffic congestion at the NAIA. The four Airbus A320s of Airphil Express started landing at Clark airport’s runway at about 9 a.m. The four aircraft came from General Santos, Osamis, Kalibo and Legaspi.

Three ATR propeller-type aircraft of Airphil Express were also diverted to Clark from Catarman, Caticlan  and Calbayog.
