Cebu Pacific holds job fair on August 30-31 means BUSINESS

MANILA - The operator of Cebu Pacific is hiring more pilots and cabin crew ahead of the delivery of brand-new aircraft.

In a statement, Cebu Air Inc. said it has 200 positions available for pilots, cabin crew, and technical and non-technical support crew.

The low-cost carrier would require the new personnel for two brand-new Airbus A320 aircraft deliveries later this year, and seven more aircraft in 2013.

“CEB continues to open its doors to dynamic and qualified individuals who wish to be part of the Cebu Pacific family. With our expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region, CEB remains committed to providing high-paying jobs, a fun work environment and unlimited travel benefits to even more people,” Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific's vice president for marketing and distribution said.

In October, the airline will introduce five more domestic routes, and a month later will launch its Iloilo hub with direct flights to Hong Kong, Singapore, General Santos and Puerto Princesa.

Cebu Pacific will hold a recruitment fair from August 30 to 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Manila in Makati City.

Interested applicants for Airbus captains and first officers, ATR captains and technical support specialists - such as IT support manager, business systems specialist and quality assurance manager - will be interviewed on August 30.

Those applying for non-technical support professionals can also submit their resumes. The open positions are training coordinator, accounts/credit analyst and treasury-credit and collection manager.

The airline will allot August 31 for entertaining cabin crew applicants. Female applicants must be 18-25 years old, possess a fun personality, stand at least 5’3”, have a Philippine passport, and proficient in English and Filipino. Male cabin crew applicants must stand at least 5’7”.
