MANILA – Up to 800 jobs across companies controlled by businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan are up for grabs at the two-day MVP Companies Career Fest 2012 that started on Monday.

Leah Villanueva, SPi Global vice president for human resources and talent management, told InterAksyon.com that they expect about 24,000 job seekers to flock Megatrade Hall 2 in SM Megamall, more than the previous year’s 16,000 applicants.

Villanueva said companies belonging to the MVP group lure many job seekers as the companies are known to be "exponential in terms of growth."

"Growth can be within the company and even in other companies within the group," she said.

The MVP group of companies include firms involved in utilities, infrastructure, business process outsourcing, telecommunications, media, healthcare and mining. Opportunities in finance and audit, admin, logistics and procurement, broadcasting, community relations and public affairs, healthcare, human resources, legal, sales and aftersales, and technical positions are open to applicants.

This year's MVP Companies Career Fest is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job seekers can also get valuable tips and advice from inspirational talks and learning sessions to be led by executives and talents of the MVP group of companies.
