MANILA - (UPDATED 11:57 p.m.) Fuel prices will increase across the board tomorrow morning.

In a text message, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp led off the increase in prices as follows:

-- P0.90 a liter, unleaded and premium gasoline;

-- P0.95 a liter, regular gasoline;

-- P0.35 a liter, diesel; and

-- P0.45 a liter, kerosene.

Shell said the increase will take effect on 6 a.m. of January 29.

Petron Corp followed suit, announcing the same price adjustments also at the same time and day.

Other oil firms have yet to announce similar adjustments as this went online, but they usually track each other's price movements since 90 percent of the country's fuel is imported.
