MANILA – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met recently in Malacañang with three Sultanates of Mindanao on possible economic activities and opportunities in Mindanao, as the government continues to reap the dividends of peace in some places while laying the groundwork for development in former conflict areas.

Duterte met with Sultan Phugdalun Kiram II, Datu Michael Ong Mastura, Sultan Omar Mangudadatu, and Abdaham Idjirani, along with Pastor Saycon, on October 12.

Joining the President were Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, and Mindanao Development Authority Chair Datu Abul Khayr Alonto.
