View Killed journalists all over the world in a larger map

Impunity and violence against journalists are global problems. The map above tags places around the world where media workers have been killed in the line of duty. Data on the Philippines (in red) is gathered and kept by the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR) and the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP), and goes back to 1986. The statistics from the rest of the world illustrated here come from the Committee to Protect Journalists, which began recording journalist killings in 1992. (InterAksyon Research)
