Actress, singer-songwriter, host and cosplayer Myrtle Sarrosa is the 2018 calendar girl of Ginebra San Miguel.

The 22-year-old from Iloilo City, who first rose to prominence as the grand winner of the reality show, “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” in 2012 was formally introduced as the face of the sought-after calendar of the popular liquor brand during “The Epic Mix” event of GSM Blue Tuesday at C3 Events Place.

In a nod to her passion for cosplaying, Ginebra San Miguel is printing five different calendars depicting Myrtle in various fantasy personas while she highlights several of Ginebra’s products.

For Ginebra San Miguel, Myrtle donned the brand’s iconic angel costume. For GSM Blue, Myrtle looks out of this world in a cyberchic outfit. Myrtle channels an illusionist persona for Primera Light Brandy, while she transformed into a forest enchantress for Vino Kulafu.

All Ginebra San Miguel brands are then featured in the final calendar where Myrtle portrays a sizzling Boss Lady.

In addition to being Ginebra’s calendar girl, the event also launched Myrtle as the official GSM Blue Endorser which also coincided with the introduction of two new GSM Blue Flavors — Margarita and Gin Pomelo.

In expressing her elation, Myrtle noted that this is the 30th year for the Ginebra calendar. “It’s a big honor to be selected for their calendar on their 30th year. With so many big names that have graced their calendars, I could not believe I was even considered for this,” she exclaimed during the event.

Previous Ginebra calendar girls include Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, Marian Rivera, Ellen Adarna, Arci Muñoz and Kim Domingo.

Myrtle added that she took the “challenge” of accepting her selection, which she described as stepping into a new chapter of her life in her latest Instagram post. In another post, she revealed how hard she worked to achieve her dream figure, for which she credits celebrity trainer Bok Santos.

“Months ago, I told myself that I’m gonna make it happen and with your help Coach @boksantos, I did! Salamat for the encouragement. I didn’t think my dream body could be within my grasp. Now I’m ready to mix for more!”

Myrtle’s announcement as Ginebra calendar girl is the latest feather in her cap for what has so far been an eventful 2017 for her, which began when she graduated cum laude with a degree in broadcast communications from the University of the Philippines.

As an actress, she also delivered memorable performances in “Ipaglaban Mo,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and “La Luna Sangre” on television.
