After facing off on “Paparazzi Showbiz Exposed” on June 2, BB Gandanghari and Zoren Legaspi will soon share more screen time on a regular basis as co-stars on TV5′s upcoming fantasy-drama, “Enchanted Garden”.
BB and Zoren are part of a formidable cast that includes Alice Dixson, Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Gladys Reyes, and Alex Gonzaga.
This is the first regular TV gig for BB, the transsexual formerly known as Rustom Padilla, since Rustom became a housemate on “Pinoy Big Brother” and came out to the public in 2006.
Zoren, the long-time live-in partner of Rustom’s ex-wife Carmina Villaroel, is quick to quash insinuations that his “Paparazzi” interview was a gimmick to promote “Enchanted Garden” in advance.
“Wala pong ganun. Nagkataon talaga ito. Right after our interview, bigla namang nagtawagan na there is a soap for both of us na hindi namin alam,” Zoren said.
BB seconds Zoren. ”Ginawa namin ‘yung interview dahil gusto naming mag-usap. Why? For closure and para mawala na ‘yung mga iwasan, ‘yung mga tanggihan sa trabaho. At ito ‘yung bunga,” she explained.
The other Kapatid stars are also excited to work with BB, especially Ruffa, who admits she used to have a crush on Rustom.
”Working with BB, I am very excited. First time ko siyang makatrabaho bilang BB kasi nakasama ko na siya dati bilang Rustom at medyo crush ko siya noon,” Ruffa said.
Flattered, BB retorts that she can’t blame Ruffa for feeling that way then.
“Ang gwapo ni Rustom ‘no? In fairness sa kanya,” she quipped, laughing while keeping true to his habit of referring to Rustom in the third person and past tense.
Zoren thinks it’s not an issue anymore. ”Kami naman ni Ruffa hindi kami nagkakapikunan niyan eh. Kahit anong batuhan ng joke, kaya naming sakyan,” he said.
Ruffa agrees and says they have become good friends and already have a good working relationship.
